Rainy Monday

Mood

Monday blues and I ache everywhere...

I hate Mondays, have always hate Mondays and will always hate Mondays as long as I had to work. I especially hate it when it's raining and I had to go out of the office and I can't take my afternoon nap. Since I don't have no silver spoon in my mouth it's a necessary evil.

Yesterday joined Moo-moo Tour and Travels to 36 Obstacles Course outing at Bedok Reservoir. And I should add, the Obstacles Course is not climbing walls and crawl through barb wires. Obstacles course are bridges made off wood and rope high up on those tress. Trees here is not those mango trees outside your house. Imagine Rainforest high kinda tress. That means 1 - 2 storey high. Highly recommended for people who have suicidal tendencies. However, for those who want to get rid of your in-laws, you gotta try something else cause their safety measures are quite good. They even gave you some 30 minute briefing and trials until you get it right.

You gotta wear a harness and they will teach you how to use those hooks and buckles, carbuncles and pulleys that come with it. Proud to say I can still keep those lessons in my head even after all those scares. For the Moo moo, after the first Flying Fox, she start to blur already and start hooking all the wrong things or WORSE, didn't hook anything on to the safety line.. tsk tsk.. After that gotta keep and eye on her and remind her on those safety measures.. tsk tsk tsk...

Anyway she blog em up too here and photos are downloaded into Facebook, so your guys can go take a look. You would probably see my butt most of the time as I am in front of Moo moo. At first the flying fox seem the scariest but after I did the Trapeze bridge, it doesn't look so scary after all. However Moo said it's the scariest of all. There are 4 flying fox altogether and I manage to crash land all of them. Crash land means u land reverse, butt scrapping the sand pit with heels digging in and generally you end up spinning on your back and the sand goes into your underwear. Perfect landing is you land running, so no sand in underwear. Moo said she landed perfectly twice so less sand in her underwear.

The Trapeze bridge and I do not know that guy. Picture pilfered from Internet.

I think there are about 20 or so rungs I need to cross, although it felt like there are 100 of them. After the 3rd rung, my legs were shaking sooo bad, I started shouting my regret but I had to tough it out. Cannot gostan one. Just had to move forward. I was gripping those ropes so tight my arms are soooo painful today. I also accidentally scrape myself on the rope so there is a long rope lash on my left elbow to wrist today. Uncomfortable but no really painful. At least I got some battle scar to show.

All in all, it was very enjoyable after my feet were planted safely on the ground. It didn't felt that enjoyable when I was a few hundred meters above ground. In fact I start questioning my sanity but luckily Moo and friend keep encouraging me. Looking back, I had no idea how I manage to complete the entire thing! But they said you only live once. Until the next adventure trip....
